Samsung has confirmed it will offer the first UK-based direct wireless TV set, the Smart TV4, on September 1.
Samsung confirmed it would offer the new set, which costs £199.99, at the launch of its UK flagship Smart TV, the Samsung S8000.
The Smart TV series, which launched in the UK last year, features a number of premium features, including the option to stream video, and the ability to stream content from a range of content providers, including Netflix, Amazon Prime and Netflix.
The first UK Smart TV was a success in the United Kingdom, selling more than 500,000 units in just five weeks.
It’s a major step forward for Samsung, which last year launched its own direct-to-home television set, with the SmartTV4, which sells for around £199 (about $260).
The new Smart TV sets will launch in the US, Canada and other territories this year.
