The first ZEIO-branded tablet is here and it is priced a little too high for many people.
This is not because it has any sort of serious problems that a lot of ZE systems are built on, but because it is so expensive.
Zoe Wireless is selling a ZE9500 tablet for just Rs. 5,999, and this is only the second ZE9900 device in India that has a price tag of less than Rs. 3,999.
The ZE8000 was Rs. 6,999 in India, and the ZN7000, ZN7700, ZE9000, and ZN9900 all cost less than this.
The ZE900 is priced at Rs. 4,999 for a 64GB model, and it comes with an 8-core Cortex-A53 processor, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of onboard storage, 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and a 3,600mAh battery.
The Rs. 2,999 price tag for the ZP7100, ZP6700, and other ZE devices is also not unreasonable.
It has an 8GB RAM, 8GB of internal storage, and Bluetooth 4 support.
This model also comes with a 2,500mAh battery, and comes with Wi-Fi 802.10ac support, but not LTE support.
As for pricing for other models, the ZF100 is the lowest priced one for this year at Rs 6,699, and also comes in the cheapest model with a 4GB RAM.
The $5,299 ZEZ1000 comes with 128GB of storage, 4 GB of RAM and Wi-fi 802.1 a/c support.
Its price is a little higher than the Rs. 7,699-7,999 ZE9300.
The top-end model, the Rs 7,999-8,999 model, is the best selling ZE smartphone in India and offers a 4.3-inch IPS touchscreen and a 64-bit Snapdragon 801 processor.
The price is also the highest for the latest ZE mobile.
All the above ZE phones are sold through online retailers like Amazon India and Flipkart, but in a few markets like the UK and Australia, these retail outlets will not be selling these phones.
In those markets, the retailers will have to wait for the carriers to decide which devices will be sold through them.
ZE wireless is offering an in-store delivery service in India from August, but it is unclear how long it will be available.
