A Vizio TV is a wireless capable, 1080p TV.
And it works, in fact, just fine.
In fact, Vizio says the WU951X Wireless-Powered TV can run any TV app on the market on any mobile device.
That includes apps like Netflix, Hulu Plus, and Pandora, as well as a handful of other TV apps.
(And if you have a Roku, you can also use the WUs950X to stream video from your Roku, as long as you also have the WuW900X, which has a similar 1080p output.)
Vizio has even released a WU900X app, which is just a copy of the WSU950X app and can be used on any Android TV box, including the Chromecast.
(It’s also compatible with Roku 3, but not Roku Streaming Stick, and Roku Streaming Box.)
Vizios WU953X Wireless TV is the latest model in the company’s WU series, which launched in October, 2017.
This is the first time Vizio offers a wireless TV with a built-in WiFi adapter.
The WU975X Wireless is a bit more advanced, as it’s powered by a 2.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
But it’s still a 1080p screen, which means the WV971X is a 1080-quality display.
The price is $249 for a unit with two wireless channels and a 2-year contract.
(This one is now available for preorder.)
Vizius also offers a WV951X for $199 with a two-channel Wi-Fi adapter, as an unlocked version of the TV that’s capable of 1080p playback on any device.
